The Name Key Alpha Generator (NKAG) was designed to accept names of either individuals or non-individuals and build a key that can be used as a secondary table index for ordered alphabetical presentations. Traditional designs often include separate fields for the first, middle and last names and exclude the use of common prefix and suffix words like Mr., Mrs., Jr. and Incorporated. With NKAG, free form entry of names is supported with commonly occurring prefix, suffix, connector and title words automatically taken into consideration.
